Kathryn Scott is a freelance photographer based in Denver.
She was born and raised in Boulder, Colo. After attending the University of Colorado, she earned a bachelor’s degree in photojournalism from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Ky.
She worked as a staff photographer at The Oregonian in Portland where she worked nationally and internationally, including across China and Southeast Asia, Mexico, and Europe.
Scott returned to Colorado with her family, working as a staff photographer at The Denver Post for nearly two decades.
