Jeff Rhode is a Multimedia Specialist at Holy Name Medical Center in New Jersey, where he has been documenting the epicenter of the disease since March 2020. He was one of the very few photographers allowed inside any hospital, and continues to provide the media with images and video. His work from this coverage has been featured on many TV interviews, honored by the 2020 International Photography Awards and is included in “ICP Concerned” at the International Center for Photography. Previously, Rhode worked on the editorial team at The Newark Star-Ledger. His visual projects have appeared on major network TV, newspaper, web, billboard, print ads, television commercials and internal training videos. His project work includes the documentary “A Thousand More,” The Heart Gallery of NJ (a photo exhibit of over 300 foster children), Do1Thing (a project to help raise awareness of homeless teens), PSA commercials for Families with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and ongoing work documenting a hospital in Milot, Haiti.
